First Impressions
1 Was the article interesting? Yes
I found that it was an informative article about the reality that people to drive when they are underage and when are doing so are major hazard to themselves and others
2 Was the article easy to read? Yes
I found this article easy to read as it was straight forward to read with no fancy terms
3 Did the article provide the information you expected? No
I was surprised by some of the facts that were in this article and I was surprised about how big of a danger this actually is.
Personal Response: I found this article to be a hard hitting wake up call to the dangers that other people are making themselves and there families vulnerable to on New Zealand's dangerous roads.
One relevant detail from the text: A mother gets her fourteen year old daughter to drive herself and her little sibling to school and all that mother gets is a four hundred dollar fine. I found that ridicules. That mother not only put her childrens lifes in danger but any other road uses as well and all she gets is a four hundred dollar fine.
Another relevant detail: This incident happened just twenty days after a 13 year old boy was caught driving at 140km/h while his father slept in the front passenger seat. It is just disturbing what sort of terrible things are going to come from this recklessness.
